Holiday in South Indian Forest,Bandipur,Madumalai&Masinagudi

Bandipur is at a distance of 225 k.m. from Bangalore and is the tip of karnataka border. Elephant,Deer,Stag,Boar and sometimes if you are lucky you can also see animals such as Tiger,Leopard,Bear etc.In Bandipur one can go for Safari with the forest official and you can also have an Elephant ride. From Bandipur a few K.M. ahead is Madumalai National Park which is located in Tamil Nadu state. The best time to go to Madumalai from Bandipur is just after sunset or early in the morning because most of the aminals comes to cross the road in order to move from one part of the forest to another. In Madumalai you can find the same species that are found in Bandipur. But in Madumalai the forest looks more dense than Bandipur. At the edge of Madumalai National Park you can find a small village called Masinagudi, just 2 K.M. from Masinagudi there are few beautiful resorts like Jungle Retreat,Casa Deep Woods etc.The best suggestion would be to stay overnight in any of the available resort. The officials of the resort organise Barbeque, fire camp, etc every night. Early morning is the best time for trekking. Trekking is best done with the help of the officials of the resort. The official also arranges for safari on request.
